PACKAGING AND TRIMS
PACKAGING
MIRO packaging has been carefully designed to prioritize conscious materials and sustainable disposal methods. Miro has selected materials that are compostable in industrial or home systems, recyclable, or both. Working with leading suppliers in eco-conscious packaging, Miro ensures that its packaging is carbon neutral, with carbon emissions offset and contributions made to environmental initiatives like the Seabin Project. Miro delivers its pieces in industrially compostable bags derived from plants, reducing single-use plastic waste significantly. The use of clay desiccant packs as an alternative to traditional gel sachets further contributes to waste diversion, as they can be industrially composted. Miro’s commitment to sustainability extends to the disposal of compostable waste through industrial compost services. The updated packaging for dispatch and delivery consists primarily of paper products sourced from recycled and ethical origins, ensuring recyclability and compostability. Non-paper items, such as brand ribbons, are compostable or biodegradable, designed to minimize environmental impact when disposed of. Coated packaging elements are coated with an eco-friendly, compostable film, free of plastic fragments.
TRIMS
In line with our commitment to sustainability, MIRO. incorporates recycled polyester in the sewing of the main and garment care labels on our ready-to-wear clothing. This shift towards using materials with a lower environmental impact extends to all our collections, as we transition to these eco-friendly materials for our garment trims.
